Your current listings may be the single-most important aspect of all your online marketing efforts. In near every case, your leads will inevitably make their way to your online content, thanks to interest in one of your auto listings. As a result, you want to make sure that you’re getting the most from this critical piece of your marketing puzzle.
Check out these three tips to ensure your auto inventory listings are hitting the mark:
1. Always Take Pictures
I’ve told this to dealers over and over again, and many of them still don’t listen: you have to take pictures of your auto listings every time! These pictures will make your listing more appealing – and will likely get customers to your dealership to have a look in person.
Now, you don’t have to be a professional photographer for this step, but you should put a little bit of effort in your pictures. Here are a few strategies:
2. Post Current Inventory in Multiple Places
You can list your current available automobiles in a variety of online locations to expand your online presence. As always, your website should have the top priority (and you can redirect interested buyers to your site for more information). However, you can also add listings to places like Auto Trader, eBay, Cars.com, and several others.
3. Keep Your Inventory Accurate
As a dealer, keeping your inventory up-to-date across multiple avenues can certainly be a challenge. But think of it like any other part of your business. Wouldn’t you be annoyed if you see something for sale, but when you go to have a look it’s already gone? That’s why you always have to keep your inventory current in all the places you have your used cars listed.
Getting Results – One Listing at a Time
With a focused marketing and automotive listing approach, your dealership can get the results you need to boost your success potential. This holds true no matter how big or small your business is in your local market.
